More than 40 years ago, during the struggle to defend the northern border of the Fatherland, Vi Xuyen was a fierce battlefield. With the spirit of “living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying to become immortal in the rocks” over 4,000 officers and soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard every inch of sacred national territory.
