On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2025), on July 12, a delegation from the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Phi Long- Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee- offered incense and laid wreaths in tribute to heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery in Tuyen Quang Province.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and members of the delegation offer incense and flowers in tribute to heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Joining the delegation were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee: Mr. Vo Ngoc Kien, Chief of the Office of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Welcoming and offering incense alongside the Phu Tho delegation were Mr. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, and leaders of various departments and sectors of the province.

More than 40 years ago, during the struggle to defend the northern border of the Fatherland, Vi Xuyen was a fierce battlefield. With the spirit of “living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying to become immortal in the rocks” over 4,000 officers and soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard every inch of sacred national territory.

Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Phi Long and members of the delegation offer incense to honor the heroic martyrs.

Vi Xuyen National Martyrs’ Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 1,900 martyrs, including a mass grave of those who laid down their lives in the northern border war at the Vi Xuyen front. Among them are 300 outstanding sons of Phu Tho Province.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee offered flowers and incense in remembrance and deep gratitude for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and lives for the nation.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the members of the delegation solemnly pledged to remain loyal to the goals and ideals of the Communist Party of Vietnam, steadfastly following the path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the people. They vowed to promote the revolutionary tradition, uphold unity, and work together to build a more prosperous and developed homeland and country. The delegation also reaffirmed their commitment to honoring the principle of “repaying gratitude” upholding the tradition of “when drinking water, remember its source” and continuing to care for families under preferential policies and those who have contributed to the revolution.
