In recent years, Phu Tho Power Company has focused on renovating, upgrading, and building new rural medium and low-voltage power grids to meet the needs of production and daily life development, as well as ensuring the grid’s safe and stable operation in rural areas.
From a province with a low percentage of rural households using electricity, Phu Tho Power Company’s rural electrification program has resulted in 100% of residential areas with electricity and rural households having access to the national grid over the years. Rural power systems, in particular, benefit districts with predominantly ethnic minority populations by improving living standards, connecting ethnic groups, and ensuring national security and defense.
Furthermore, in order for households to benefit from the government’s electricity prices, Phu Tho Power Company has been granted access to the rural low-voltage grid, allowing it to sell electricity directly to each household. After receiving the communes' low-voltage grids, Phu Tho Power Company and its units intend to repair, renovate, upgrade, and expand the grid so that it can operate safely and provide stable and continuous electricity to households, with an average minimum renovation cost of 1.2 - 1.5 billion VND per commune. In 2023, the Company began 44 projects, closed 33 projects, opened three more 110KV stations, and added 13 new exporters after the 110KV substation, all of which contributed to reducing grid load and ensuring electricity supply for political, production, and living activities in the province.
In the future, Phu Tho Power Company will continue to make efforts, constantly improve and improve the quality of electricity supply services, and focus all resources on investing in the power grid to ensure stable, safe, and reliable electricity supply, effectively serving the locality’s socio-economic development, particularly successfully implementing the trade and industrial construction program following the provincial roadmap.
