According to the Provincial Election Committee, by 7:00 PM on March 15, Phu Tho Province successfully concluded the election for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure.

Phu Tho voters place their full trust in their ballots.
Latest updated figures show that out of a total of 2,751,667 registered voters in the province, 2,749,248 citizens cast their ballots, representing a turnout of 99.91%. Notably, 87 out of 148 communes achieved a 100% voter turnout rate (accounting for 58.78%).
The Provincial Election Committee noted that residents expressed strong consensus and confidence in the election, highly praising the thorough preparations made by Party committees, local authorities, and election teams.
Voters remarked that this election was organized meticulously, democratically, and in strict accordance with regulations. They expressed high expectations that the elected representatives will possess the necessary qualities and capacities to represent the people’s will and contribute actively to the development of both the locality and the nation. Many also emphasized that the election was a significant opportunity to exercise their right to mastery.
To facilitate travel to polling stations, the province’s transportation system was improved, with many roads leading to commune centers and villages being upgraded. Communication systems, including telephone, internet, and local broadcasting networks, remained stable, supporting effective propaganda and organizational efforts.
Political security and social order remained stable throughout Election Day. Functional forces proactively implemented security plans, increasing patrols and surveillance at polling stations and key areas. Preventive measures and actions against legal violations were strictly enforced, with no complex incidents reported that could have affected the election process.
In this election, over 2.7 million voters in Phu Tho chose 17 delegates for the 16th National Assembly from 29 candidates and 85 delegates for the Provincial People’s Council from 138 candidates. Across 3,705 polling stations in 148 wards and communes, voters also elected 3,062 commune-level delegates for the 2026–2031 term from a pool of 5,074 candidates.
Immediately after the polls closed, the vote-counting process was carried out urgently and accurately at all polling locations.
