On the morning of June 25, Vu Viet Van, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a meeting with relevant departments, agencies and the Vinh Phuc Area Project Management Board to review public investment disbursement during the first six months of 2026 and discuss key tasks for the remainder of the year.

Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van delivers directives at the meeting.
According to the Vinh Phuc Area Project Management Board, the unit has been assigned to implement 165 projects in 2026 with a total allocated capital of more than VND 4.2 trillion. To date, nearly VND 540 billion has been disbursed, equivalent to 12.66 percent of the annual plan. By the end of the second quarter, total disbursement is expected to reach nearly VND 1.13 trillion, or 26.6 percent of the planned capital.
The slow pace of disbursement has been mainly attributed to difficulties in compensation and site clearance, shortages of construction materials affecting project implementation, and challenges in finalizing completed projects and compensation-related settlements.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van emphasized that accelerating public investment disbursement plays a vital role in promoting socio-economic development and supporting the province’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth.
He requested the Vinh Phuc Area Project Management Board to strengthen its sense of responsibility, enhance project management and accelerate both project implementation and capital disbursement. Relevant departments and agencies were instructed to proactively coordinate with the project management board to promptly resolve outstanding issues related to compensation, site clearance and project settlement procedures.
The Vice Chairman called for greater efforts to improve public investment disbursement rates and ensure projects are completed on schedule, with particular priority given to key infrastructure projects and transport connectivity projects that serve the province’s socio-economic development.
