On the afternoon of April 27, the final matches and the award ceremony for outstanding athletes at the 2025 National Individual Sepak Takraw Championship were held at the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Sports Center.
The Organizing Committee awards the silver medal to Phu Tho’s athlete pair (2nd place) in the men’s doubles event.
Phu Tho’s Sepak Takraw team competed with nine male and female athletes across the following categories: women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, men’s trio, women’s trio, and women’s quartet.
At the end of the tournament, Phu Tho’s team earned a total of four medals. Athletes Tran Anh Quan, Bui Manh Cuong, Tran Quang Duong, and Pham Quang Thanh secured a silver medal in the men’s trio event, while athletes Tran Thi Ngoc Thanh, Tran Thanh Hoa, Hoang Thi My Le, Dinh Thi Quynh Cham, and Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen won silver in the women’s quartet event.
The two remaining bronze medals went to Tran Thi Ngoc Thanh in the women’s singles and the duo of Tran Anh Quan and Bui Manh Cuong in the men’s doubles.
The 2025 National Individual Sepak Takraw Championship took place from April 19 to 27, attracting 262 athletes from 11 provinces and cities nationwide, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Dong Thap, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hue, and Phu Tho.
This championship was not only a platform for athletes to showcase their talents but also an opportunity for coaches and experts to identify and select outstanding players for the national Sepak Takraw team, aiming for success in major upcoming international tournaments.
