Provincial Delegation Conducts On-site Inspection of the Planned Phu My 1 Industrial Cluster

On July 27, a provincial working delegation comprising representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Department of Science and Technology conducted an on-site inspection of the proposed location for the Phu My 1 Industrial Cluster in Phu My Commune.

During the inspection, the delegation surveyed the proposed project site, reviewed current land-use conditions, assessed the area’s technical infrastructure and transport connectivity, examined the progress and feasibility of land clearance, and evaluated other factors related to the investment and construction of the industrial cluster.

The Phu My 1 Industrial Cluster is planned to cover 75 hectares, with total infrastructure investment estimated at more than VND 712.8 billion. Under the proposed master plan, approximately 53.2 hectares will be allocated for factories and warehouses, 8.9 hectares for transport infrastructure, and 10.4 hectares for green space. The project also includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a designed capacity of 2,500 cubic metres per day, together with transport connections to Au Co Road and the regional power grid.

The field inspection was conducted to assess the suitability of the proposed location, project scale, land-use plan and implementation conditions. The findings will provide the basis for the provincial appraisal council to finalise its assessment before submitting recommendations to the Provincial People’s Committee for consideration and approval of the establishment of the Phu My 1 Industrial Cluster, as well as the selection of an investor to develop and operate its technical infrastructure.

Based on the inspection results, provincial departments, local authorities and relevant agencies will continue reviewing and refining project documentation while proposing solutions to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring that the project is fully aligned with provincial planning, promotes efficient land use and meets the locality’s industrial development requirements.
