On the morning of May 28, Mr. Tran Duy Dong—Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee—held a working session with Toyota Boshoku Hanoi Co., Ltd. to untangle difficulties and facilitate the company’s business operations. The Chairman acknowledged and highly appraised the active interest, strong partnership, and highly efficient investment operations of the enterprise across the province.

Toyota Boshoku Hanoi Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the global Toyota Boshoku Corporation, specializes in manufacturing automotive interiors, supplying directly to Toyota Motor Vietnam and VinFast, while exporting seat covers to the Japanese market. With an annual output of approximately 27,000 car seat sets and 300,000 exported seat cover units, the company logs an impressive annual revenue of over 2,000 billion VND. Annually, the enterprise injects roughly 80 to 100 billion VND into the state budget, generates stable employment for about 1,100 laborers, and makes substantial contributions to local social welfare activities.

Looking toward 2030, the firm projects its car seat sets output to scale up fourfold (reaching roughly 100,000 sets), pushing revenue to approximately 3,000 billion VND, while its state budget contributions are slated to surge 1.5-fold.

At the session, the leadership of Toyota Boshoku Hanoi Co., Ltd. presented an overview of their production and business performance, while raising petitions regarding administrative procedures, particularly within land administration. Company leaders noted that if the firm fails to finalize institutional procedures and financial obligations concerning three specific land plots by August 6, 2026, the enterprise faces a critical risk of temporarily halting manufacturing operations. This would directly disrupt the commodity supply chain to its primary partners.

Addressing the assembly, Chairman Tran Duy Dong highly evaluated Toyota Boshoku Hanoi’s active contributions to the province’s socio-economic development, particularly in job creation, state budget generation, and cultivating the foundations for the domestic automotive industry.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duy Dong reaffirmed that Phu Tho consistently accompanies the corporate community. He mandated relevant departments and sectors to urgently review, coordinate, and untangle the difficulties and obstacles within their respective jurisdictions. Specifically, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is directed to lead the review and partner with the enterprise to completely finalize all related procedures within June 2026; all remaining corporate petitions must be definitively resolved, with a formal progress report submitted to the Chairman before June 30.
