Mango cultivation has brought high economic returns for farmers in Hoa Binh (former province) in recent years. The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Phu Tho province has set out development strategies for mango production aligned with regional planning, aiming to expand mangoes to international markets.

With a strong determination to bring local agricultural products to the global market, Tien Ngan Trading and Investment Co., Ltd. (Tien Ngan Company), based in Thong Nhat ward, has officially completed preparations to export its first shipment of frozen mangoes to South Korea. This milestone is particularly significant not only for the company but also for the agricultural sector of Phu Tho province as a whole.
Operating in the field of general wholesale trade, Tien Ngan Company was established with the mission of enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products, particularly those that are characteristic of mountainous regions. With the advantage of being located near large mango-growing areas in Phu Tho and Son La provinces, the company has focused on investing in a closed value chain, from raw material zones to deep processing, gradually improving product quality and competitiveness.
In recent years, the company has cooperated with cooperatives and farmers in Phu Tho and Son La to develop standardized mango cultivation areas, creating a solid foundation for export processing. Going beyond traditional preliminary processing, Tien Ngan Company boldly invested in a modern freezing plant, applying quick-freezing technology that helps retain the full flavor, color, and nutritional value of the fruit after harvest, ensuring products meet international standards of quality and food safety.
Checking the batch of mangoes grown in Phu Tho, prepared for the first official shipment of frozen mangoes to South Korea, Deputy Director Le Thi Nham of Tien Ngan Company shared: “To enter the South Korean market, Tien Ngan Company underwent a rigorous preparation process, including trial shipments, production process improvements, completion of plant quarantine procedures, and obtaining HACCP food safety certification. We view conquering the South Korean market as an important stepping stone to expand exports to other countries in Asia, such as Japan and Taiwan, and then to Europe. This first shipment carries not only commercial value but also affirms that Phu Tho’s agricultural products are fully capable of competing in the international marketplace.”

According to the plan, the company’s first shipment of frozen mangoes will include 24 tons of sliced mango, packaged and preserved at a temperature of -18°C. The shipment is expected to arrive in South Korea by mid-September 2025 and will be distributed through supermarket chains specializing in imported food products.
