On the afternoon of August 14, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, hosted a courtesy meeting with Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, Chief Executive Officer of Amata (Thailand), to discuss the group’s upcoming investment plans in Phu Tho Province.

During the meeting, Secretary Phong and Ms. Somhatai Panichewa exchanged views on potential investment cooperation in Phu Tho, particularly in high-tech, environmentally friendly industries that offer strong contributions to socio-economic development. Key sectors discussed included electronics, telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, and automobile and motorbike assembly. Infrastructure development and investment in industrial parks were also among the proposed areas of collaboration.

Amata Group is planning to invest in the Doan Hung Industrial Park, with a vision to develop it into a smart urban model in the 2025–2030 period. Phase 1 of the project is expected to cover 300–500 hectares across Tay Coc and Doan Hung communes. Targeted investment sectors include the automotive industry and supporting industries, high-tech manufacturing, and clean industries utilizing renewable energy.
Secretary Dang Xuan Phong emphasized that following administrative restructuring, Phu Tho has emerged as one of the country’s fastest-growing provinces. It boasts an increasingly attractive investment environment, underpinned by modern governance and a sustainable, service-oriented public administration that supports both residents and enterprises. The province is committed to offering favorable policies and strong support for investors, especially strategic partners like Amata Group.
Overview of the meeting
With a spirit of cooperation for mutual development, Phu Tho Province pledges to provide a favorable and efficient investment environment, offering full support for Amata in obtaining investment policy approvals, investment registration certificates, and in resolving any challenges that may arise during project
implementation and operations. The province will also partner with Amata in promoting and attracting secondary investors to the region.
