Shortening working time of 14th National Party Congress

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam adopted a resolution to shorten its working schedule by 1.5 days during a plenary discussion session on the afternoon of January 21.

Accordingly, at a press conference held prior to the Congress to brief the media on the programme of the 14th Party Party Congress, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat, stated that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam would officially take place from January 19 to January 25, 2026.

However, during the course of the Congress, with the highest spirit of action, highly scientific and responsible working methods, many agenda items were completed ahead of schedule. Therefore, at the working session on the afternoon of January 21, the Congress voted to approve the adjusted programme, shortening the duration by 1.5 days compared to the initial plan.

It is expected that the Congress will close on January 23.
