The Vietnam team offers incense to report the Hung Kings.

On the morning of January 7, at the Hung Temple historical relic site, the organizing committee of the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup in Phu Tho province held an incense offering ceremony to report the Hung Kings after the Vietnam team won the 2024 ASEAN Cup. Attendees included leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Vietnam Football Federation, as well as Coach Kim Sang Sik and player Do Duy Manh.

The delegates, coach Kim Sang Sik and player Do Duy Manh, offered incense and reported the Hung Kings' achievements at the Upper Palace.

At Kinh Thien Palace on the top of Nghia Linh mountain, the delegates, coach Kim Sang Sik and player Do Duy Manh, respectfully offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings, who had contributed to the founding of the country, presented the Championship Cup, and reported on their achievements at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

On their journey to the championship, the Vietnamese team set a series of new records. The highlight was their decisive victory over the reigning ASEAN Cup 2022 champions, Thailand, in both the first and second legs of the final. Additionally, Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team are the only ones to win the championship with an undefeated record (7 wins and 1 draw) in ASEAN Cup history. This included four dominant victories at home in Viet Tri, highlighted by the brilliant performance of striker Nguyen Xuan Son.

Coach Kim Sang Sik and player Do Duy Manh represented the Vietnamese team in offering incense at Dien Kinh Thien on the top of Nghia Linh Mountain.

In front of the Hung Kings, the delegates, Coach Kim Sang Sik, and player Do Duy Manh pledged to unite, train hard, and compete with all their might for the national flag. They set their sights on advancing past the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup and competing in the most prestigious tournament in Asia for the third consecutive time.

Immediately after the ceremony at the Upper Temple, the delegates offered incense and presented the 2024 ASEAN Cup Championship Trophy at the Hung Kings' Tomb.
