baophutho.vnIn order to stimulate consumption demand in the first months of the year and Hung Kings Temple Festival - Culture, sport and tourism week in 2023, the provincial department of industry and trade has organized diversified and flexibly trade promotion activities, adapting to the new context and effectively supporting businesses, industry associations and local production facilities to introduce and promote products, connect supply and demand, exploit and expand markets.

The Northeast Industry and Trade Fair, which takes place from April 24 to 30 (ie, March 5 to 11 in the lunar year of the Rabbit), is an activity under the National Program on Trade Promotion in 2023. The fair gathers more than 280 booths of nearly 200 organizations and businesses inside and outside the province participating with diverse products in various fields: Industry - cottage industry and trade; hi-tech agricultural products, OCOP products; consumer goods, home appliances, garments, interior and exterior decoration, electrical and electronic products.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade affirmed: “The fair is a practical activity connecting trade and product consumption, contributing to promoting the development of local production and continuing the achievements in 2022 as well as contributing to raising consumers” awareness and trust in the quality and brand of Vietnamese products, effectively implementing the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products”. Through activities at the fair, the Fatherland residents and visitors will have more opportunities for cultural exchange, access, selection and purchase of quality goods and services at reasonable prices, contributing positively to stimulating the demand for domestic goods."

To stimulate consumer demand, the booths have directly reduced prices from 10% to 50% of many consumer goods and household appliances; At the same time, give gifts, offer combo sales and vouchers to attract customers. In addition, activities to promote the use of supporting solutions in e-commerce such as: Non-cash payment, use of QR codes to trace product origin,... were also implemented vibrantly.

Besides fair activities, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a trade connection conference in Phu Tho between tea suppliers in the Northeast region and export enterprises and trade promotion organizations. At the conference, more than 50 enterprises displayed and introduced tea products with high export potential of Phu Tho province and other provinces and cities in the country. It is an opportunity for them to find partners and expand product consumption markets. Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong - Director of UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited, Van Linh Commune, Thanh Ba District said: “Trade promotion activities really made great meaning to us. In addition to introducing our products, we also have the opportunity to meet, share, chat and exchange information with businesses in the tea industry to improve product quality and open cooperative relationships; at the same time seek opportunities for investment, joint venture cooperation and market development.”
