Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van Listens to Reports on Social Housing and Urban Development Projects

On the afternoon of August 10, Mr. Vu Viet Van, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), chaired a conference to listen to the Department of Construction’s report on several contents regarding social housing and urban development projects.

At the conference, the Department of Construction reported the appraisal results for investment policy approval and the assignment of the project developer for the NAGA Phuc Yen Social Housing Project in Phuc Yen Ward.

The project spans a scale of 2.2 hectares, featuring low-rise commercial housing (4 stories), a commercial service facility (6 stories), and 3 15-story apartment blocks with 961 social housing units, serving the housing needs of approximately 3,500 people. The total estimated investment exceeds VND 1,293 billion, with NAGAKAWA Group Joint Stock Company as the investor. The project is expected to be completed in 2029.

Concluding this item, PPC Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the Department of Construction to absorb feedback and continue researching the project to ensure synchronized technical and social infrastructure; focus on expanding areas for parking lots, greenery, and community living spaces, aiming toward building a civilized, comfortable social housing area that meets residents' settlement needs.

Next, the conference heard a proposal report on the Investment and Construction Project for Gia Khanh New Urban Area in Binh Xuyen Commune. Accordingly, the project spans over 27 hectares, meeting the housing demand for about 3,200 people, with a total estimated investment of over VND 956 billion. Delegates agreed that the project aligns with land-use planning and meets local socio-economic development demands.

Concluding this topic, PPC Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van assigned the Department of Construction to incorporate feedback to finalize the investment project proposal report and submit it to competent authorities for investment policy approval in accordance with regulations.

He emphasized that during implementation, modern architectural planning and reasonable spatial organization must be ensured to contribute to the efficient exploitation of land funds, increase budget revenues, and drive local socio-economic development.
