Recognizing the occupational risks inherent in the garment manufacturing industry, Viet Thien Garment Co., Ltd., located in Vinh Tuong Commune, has consistently placed occupational safety and fire prevention at the forefront of its operations. Through proactive risk prevention and continuous improvements to the working environment, the company protects its workforce while laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

Viet Thien Garment Co., Ltd. provides stable employment for more than 1,800 workers, with an average monthly income of VND 8 million per employee.
Established in 2006 with 100% investment from Hong Kong (China), Viet Thien Garment specializes in garment manufacturing and currently employs more than 1,800 workers. Although the industry generates relatively little hazardous smoke or wastewater, production workshops equipped with hundreds of high-capacity sewing and cutting machines present occupational hazards such as noise, vibration, and fine fabric dust. Without effective control measures, prolonged exposure to these factors can affect workers' respiratory health, hearing, and overall well-being. In addition, the highly flammable nature of textile materials, combined with the heat generated by continuously operating machinery, creates a significant fire risk.
According to Duong Thi Huyen, Head of the Compliance Department at Viet Thien Garment Co., Ltd., the company has established a dedicated occupational safety unit and developed workplace safety and hygiene plans tailored to the conditions of each production workshop. Regular training courses are organized for managers, employees, and workers, with particular attention given to high-risk positions such as fabric cutting and machinery maintenance.
To improve working conditions, the company has invested in industrial ventilation and cooling systems as well as high-capacity dust extraction equipment. Fabric scraps and production waste are collected several times each day to maintain a clean and well-ventilated working environment. Machinery is subject to strict routine inspection and maintenance to prevent technical failures before they occur. In addition, outdated equipment has been replaced with modern machinery that meets updated safety standards, helping reduce noise levels, minimize heat generation, and better protect both the workplace environment and employees' health.
Alongside these infrastructure improvements, the company fully complies with employee welfare policies, including periodic health examinations and mandatory social and health insurance coverage. This safe and supportive working environment has strengthened employee loyalty and encouraged long-term commitment.
Nguyen Thi Hoang Mai, an employee in Production Unit 01, Workshop 6, shared: "After working with the company for 13 years, I have seen continuous improvements in our working environment. We receive comprehensive care, from occupational safety to our overall well-being. In return for that support, we are committed to working harder, improving productivity, and contributing to the company’s continued growth."
Fire prevention and firefighting are also top priorities at Viet Thien Garment, guided by the principle that prevention is better than response. The company has installed a modern automatic fire detection system together with wall-mounted firefighting equipment throughout its facilities. Fire safety regulations, emergency instructions, and response procedures are prominently displayed in key production areas where employees can easily see them.
Each year, the company works closely with the Fire and Rescue Police to organize professional fire safety training and emergency response drills for all employees. These activities help workers remain calm and respond effectively in the event of an emergency. Thanks to sustained investment in workplace safety and strict compliance with safety regulations, Viet Thien Garment has recorded no serious workplace accidents or major fire incidents for many consecutive years.
As international standards continue to become more demanding, maintaining a safe working environment has become a strategic advantage for the company. It not only protects its workforce but also strengthens the company’s reputation and brand, enabling Viet Thien Garment to secure new orders with confidence and continue its path toward sustainable development.
