Focusing resources on economic development, attracting investment, and using industry and services as growth drivers is a key priority for Doan Hung District to ensure fast and sustainable growth. In recent times, the district has implemented various synchronized solutions, with a particular emphasis on land clearance to facilitate investment in industrial clusters.
Doan Hung District currently has three industrial clusters approved for investment by the provincial People’s Committee: Soc Dang Craft Village, Ngoc Quan, and Nam Doan Hung. Among them, Soc Dang Craft Village Industrial Cluster is already operational, covering a total area of over 24 hectares and attracting six enterprises. Of these, four projects are operating stably, while two are in the process of completing investment procedures and constructing factories. Notably, 17 hectares of land, where the district People’s Committee is the investor, has been developed with transportation infrastructure, electricity, and water systems, attracting four enterprises, achieving 100% industrial land occupancy. For the 56.81-hectare area developed by Vertexco Soc Dang JSC, 7.49 hectares have been allocated for investment in land leveling, stormwater drainage, and road construction, successfully attracting two secondary investors.
For Ngoc Quan Industrial Cluster, the Compensation, Support, and Resettlement Council of Doan Hung District has coordinated with the investor to complete the inventory of land, crops, trees, and structures within the project area, as well as designated resettlement locations for households required to relocate. Meanwhile, land clearance at Nam Doan Hung Industrial Cluster is also underway. However, the land clearance process for industrial cluster development and investment attraction in Doan Hung still faces several challenges.
To remove bottlenecks in land clearance and ensure successful investment attraction, the district has organized progress review meetings to assess difficulties and solutions for infrastructure development in industrial clusters. Authorities are working closely with investors to accelerate project implementation. Additionally, local governments have been directed to intensify communication and outreach efforts, ensuring public understanding and support for compensation, assistance, and resettlement policies, as well as encouraging residents to accept compensation payments as per regulations.
With the determined involvement of the entire political system, Doan Hung District has also urged investors to take responsibility and actively collaborate with local authorities to resolve land clearance challenges. Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee, Ha Hai Long, stated that the district has proposed that the Provincial People’s Committee issue regulations on financial mechanisms for resettlement projects, allowing investors who use land to voluntarily advance funds for resettlement projects in Phu Tho Province. This would serve as a legal basis for investors to ensure compliance and project timelines while strengthening coordination and commitment between investors and the district government.
