On the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary, cooperative products from across the province are being showcased and promoted at the Phu Tho 2025 Trade Fair and OCOP Products Exhibition, cultural camps of districts, cities, and towns in the Hung King Temple area, as well as various tourist attractions. This presents a valuable opportunity for cooperatives to introduce their products, expand their markets, and contribute to the growth of the collective economy.

Products of cooperatives are introduced and displayed at the Phu Tho Town cultural camp.
Phu Tho Province boasts diverse terrain, spanning mountainous, midland, and delta regions—ideal conditions for developing distinctive agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, along with traditional handicrafts. Embracing and preserving cultural heritage, many cooperatives have successfully integrated traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques, creating products that reflect the unique cultural identity of each locality. The Hung King Temple Festival serves as a prime occasion to promote and introduce tourism-related products, leveraging the province’s cultural, culinary, and tourism potential. Many of these products, deeply rooted in local cooperative efforts, hold great promise for further development into signature tourism offerings.
To cater to visitors from across the country traveling to the Land of the Ancestors for this year’s festival, stalls and businesses within the Hung King Temple Historical Site have meticulously prepared and displayed a variety of local specialties, particularly those produced by cooperatives. These products are diverse and abundant, meeting the growing demands of tourists for both consumption and souvenir shopping.
Ms. Hoang Thi Truong, owner of Stall No. 9, shared, "Understanding that visitors to the Land of the Ancestors seek to experience authentic local specialties, our stall offers a wide range of regional products. Notably, we feature OCOP-certified items and goods produced by local enterprises and cooperatives, including sour meat, banh chung, cassava cake, che lam, green tea, and soy sauce. All products have publicly listed prices, guaranteed quality, traceable origins, and are accompanied by detailed introductions so tourists can better appreciate the cultural and culinary essence of the ancestral land."
Currently, the province is home to over 100 cooperatives and cooperative groups that have successfully earned OCOP certification for their products. Many cooperatives have standardized their production processes, ensuring the use of high-quality raw materials and professionalizing their branding efforts. Several cooperative products have become synonymous with their places of origin, leaving a lasting impression on visitors to Hung King Temple. These include Hung Lo rice noodles, Hung Lo banh chung, Thanh Son sour meat, Doan Hung grapefruit, Long Coc tea, Phu Thinh tea, Da Hen tea, Cam My tea, Tan Son salted chicken, and Ga Gay My Lung sticky rice. Beyond their role in serving festival-goers, these products hold significant potential for expansion into broader tourism markets, both within and beyond the province.
At cultural camps across the province, districts, cities, and towns have combined cultural and artistic performances with product exhibitions. Ms. Phan Thi Anh Thu, Director of the Center for Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Communications of Phu Ninh District, stated, "Phu Ninh District brings to the cultural camp a variety of special activities, including art performances and the display of OCOP-certified and locally significant products. Among them are Gia Thanh conical hats, Phu Nham honey, Tu Da fermented fish, and medicinal herbs from the Moc Quy Huong Cooperative. These high-quality products, many of which originate from district cooperatives, are now being introduced to a wider audience. The large influx of visitors to Hung King Temple presents an excellent opportunity to connect with new markets, expand distribution channels, and enhance the value of local agricultural products, ultimately contributing to regional economic growth."
The cooperative products selected for this year’s Hung King Temple Festival each possess distinct characteristics that reflect their local cultural heritage. Continued efforts in promotion and quality enhancement will help these products solidify their brands and establish a strong position in the marketplace.
