Hung Kings’ Temple Festival takes place from April 9 - 18 (ie March 1 - 10 of the lunar calendar), expected to welcome millions of visitors.
To serve this year’s festival, in the surrounding areas of Hung Kings’ Temple and the festival center, there are 80 fixed sales counters of Hung Kings’ Temple Tourist Service Center and business households; In addition, there are about 300 seasonal business stalls registered by households to operate during the festival (from March 1 to 10). There are a variety of goods on sale, mainly typical agricultural products of the locality, OCOP products such as: banh chung, banh giay, specialty cakes of Phu Tho town; Thanh Son sour meat and many handicrafts, textiles, brocade... All shops have signed a commitment to comply with business regulations, meet criteria for food hygiene and safety, quality of goods, provide services at listed prices, and implement explosion prevention...
The Provincial Market Management Department has proactively monitored and closely grasped developments, prices and supply of goods to ensure attentive service to residents and tourists. Mr. Duong Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Market Management Department said: The Market Management Department has directed the Market Management teams in charge of the area and adjacent areas where the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary - Hung Kings’ Temple Festival takes place to strengthen inspection of the facilities producing, trading and transporting goods for consumption during the festival, ensuring that the goods have a clear origin; Limit the sale and storage of banned goods, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods that infringe intellectual property, and goods that do not meet the food safety and hygiene requirements.
Along with the participation of functional forces, Hung Kings’ Temple Historical Relic Site has also established mobile surveillance teams to regularly patrol and control areas during the festival days. Mr. Dang Tien Khanh - Deputy Director of Hung Kings’ Temple Tourist Service Center said: “During the festival days, we always focus on management, inspection and supervision of business activities of organizations, individuals and business households in the area according to the regulations; strengthen management of product quality and service attitude at sales points. Set and arrange the shops to ensure aesthetics, culture and the most convenience for tourists.”
This year, in addition to fixed stalls and kiosks registered to participate in selling goods in the Hung Kings’ Temple Festival Site, at the cultural camps of 13 districts, cities and towns, there arranges areas for displaying, introducing and selling typical agricultural products and products participating in the “one commune, one product” (OCOP) program, with bold regional characteristics, which attract many tourists to visit and do shopping. Ms. Pham Thi Huyen (a tourist from Hai Duong province) said: I really like to buy regionally specific agricultural products as gifts after each trip, especially products that have met OCOP standards because of their guaranteed quality, beautiful design, packaging and most importantly, traceability of the product’s origin...
In addition to commodity trading activities, the relic site also strengthens electric vehicle management to create convenience in travelling and minimize the inconvenience that spontaneous motorbike taxi services cause to tourists. This year, the Relic has prepared over 100 electric vehicles to serve tourists on the occasion of the Ancestors’ Death Anniversary. All vehicles are inspected and maintained before being put into operation. Drivers are thoroughly and professionally trained and understand the regulations in transporting passengers.
With the synchronous implementation of management solutions and close coordination with functional branches, business and service activities at the Hung Kings’ Temple Festival have been made orderly, safe, and civilized, contributing to preserve and promote the cultural and tourism values of the province.
