The year 2024 has been identified as a year to accelerate the implementation of projects and works that serve the socio-economic development of the province. Therefore, the province has directed various departments, agencies, and localities to review and identify key groups of projects to focus on, while flexibly applying mechanisms and policies, and decisively speeding up land clearance, gradually completing infrastructure systems, attracting investment, and creating momentum for rapid and sustainable economic growth.
In Thanh Ba district, to create a clean land fund for attracting investment and implementing projects, land clearance has always received focused attention and directive action. Mr. Nguyen Trung Hoc, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the district, shared: Thanh Ba has restructured and assigned tasks to members of the Steering Committee and Compensation Council for land clearance; regularly reviews and builds progress plans for each project and case, classifying them from difficult to easy, so as to proactively apply effective measures for land recovery; strictly publicizes information on the planning of projects that require land acquisition. Currently, the district is carrying out compensation, land clearance, support, and resettlement for 25 projects, affecting nearly 1,500 land users. The compensation plan has been approved for 917 landowners, with a total amount of over 124 billion VND, and approximately 1,000 landowners have received payments totaling more than 110 billion VND. The area of land cleared has reached nearly 80 hectares.
Along with Thanh Ba, other localities across the province have also made great efforts in land clearance to implement key infrastructure projects. To date, the work of compensation and land clearance has been focused on, with over 200 hectares handed over for key projects. This includes 50 hectares for industrial zones, 65 hectares for industrial cluster areas, and 74 hectares for the Tam Nong 1 and 2 Golf Course projects. Additionally, approval has been granted for two industrial cluster investment projects. The provincial government has also directed the acceleration of 10 key projects and addressed the challenges and delays of 8 projects that have been behind schedule, in accordance with the directives from the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
In 2024, the Project Management Board for construction investment in the Doan Hung district is implementing 80 projects (including both ongoing and newly invested projects) with a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND. Currently, all projects and works in the district are accelerating construction efforts to meet the set schedules.
The efficient implementation of land clearance has created a “lever” to attract investment and accelerate the completion of key infrastructure. It is expected that by the end of 2024, 16 out of 20 public investment projects in the area will be completed, ahead of schedule. Some private sector projects have also been completed and are already in use, contributing to the development of various industries and sectors. In 2024, the first phase of the Phu Ha Industrial Park will be completed; land clearance for the Cam Khe Industrial Park is nearly done; the Nam Doan Hung Industrial Cluster, covering 69 hectares, will receive investment approval; a new industrial cluster, Am Ha, will be established (60 hectares); 8 other industrial clusters will continue to be developed; and the Wyndham Thanh Thuy project and Tam Nong Golf Course (sections 1 and 2) will be largely completed. Urban infrastructure is being invested in a synchronized, modern manner, with an urbanization rate of 21.4%. The infrastructure for services and tourism is developing to meet the needs of residents and tourists. Distribution networks are expanding both in urban and rural areas. Electrical, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure are being developed to meet the requirements for digital transformation, the development of the digital economy, digital society, and digital government.
It can be seen that the key infrastructure projects, being carried out on schedule and with quality assurance, have opened up opportunities to improve the environment, attract investment, and promote the socio-economic development of the province. In 2025, the province will continue to accelerate the progress and strive to complete key infrastructure, service, and urban projects such as: the 2.5 km interregional main road and 6.8 km of two branch lines, the Tan Phu - Xuan Dai road (Phase 2), the road connecting DT323 to National Highway 2; basically complete the technical infrastructure and fill the Cam Khe Industrial Park; complete the infrastructure of Trung Ha I Industrial Park; prepare and approve zoning plans and documents for investment approval of 4 industrial parks; strive to complete investment procedures for 4 industrial clusters and start construction of 4 new industrial clusters.
