Diverse OCOP products serving the Tet market

At this time, products and goods serving the Lunar New Year market of the Dragon Year 2024 are already vibrant. Enterprises, cooperatives, and OCOP product production facilities in the province have been stepping up production, increasing product output, improving quality, and ensuring food safety and hygiene to meet the consumer demand during Tet.

UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited - Zone 1, Van Linh Commune, Thanh Ba District is one of the businesses developing tea products participating in the OCOP program. The company’s products are not only covered in the domestic market but also reach out to some South Asian and European countries.

To meet the market demand, the Company has launched four key products: Purple bud tea bags; purple bud tea 75g; Premium purple bud tea and specialty green tea. Among them, the premium purple bud tea product is being recommended as a five-star OCOP product, while the remaining products have achieved four-star OCOP standards.

This will be a product that makes a strong impression on consumers during this Tet holiday.”

Thanh Son is a famous place for making sour meat with a strong traditional flavor and identity of the Muong ethnic group. One of Thanh Son’s famous sour meat producers is Truong Foods Production and Trading Joint Stock Company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa - the Company Director said: “We have 8 sour meat products that meet OCOP standards. To prepare goods for the Tet market, recently, we have focused on human resources and food sources to ensure safe production according to traditional techniques and methods, and pack products with eye-catching designs suitable for the purposes of using and giving... This year, the Company is expected to release about 5,000 tons of goods to the market to serve the consumer needs during the Tet.”

The entire province has now developed 237 OCOP products meeting three to five star standards. This is a rich source of goods for Tet. To ensure quality and source of goods, OCOP entities have proactively used raw materials, concentrated human resources, and produced OCOP products with reasonable prices, beautiful designs, and guaranteed quality, to promptly bring them to the market to meet people’s purchasing power during Tet.

In difficult economic conditions, people tighten their spending, so purchasing power decreases. OCOP entities, in addition to improving product quality and changing designs to meet consumer tastes, also proactively promote trade, expand market share, and diversify approaches to markets...
