Ensuring the supply of goods

At this time, production and business establishments, convenience stores, and traditional markets in Phu Tho town are prepared to supply, ensure quality and price, and meet people’s shopping needs during the Lunar New Year 2024.

Phu Tho town is a densely populated area with high demand for goods, especially during Tet. People focus on buying and selling in traditional distribution channels and modern forms of e-commerce. There is currently a commercial center, two supermarkets, seven traditional markets, and over 2,100 retail stores located in residential areas that sell a wide range of goods under various brands.

Based on the demand for essential goods for over 73,300 people, or 21,036 households, the town has developed a plan to ensure supply and demand balance and stabilize the market of essential goods by the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year 2024. The implementation period runs from December 2023 to February 2024. In addition to ensuring a timely supply of goods, the town facilitates businesses to expand distribution systems, organize mobile sales, and ensure smooth circulation of goods.

During this Lunar New Year, the town will implement a market stabilization program with five participating units including Van Lien Trading Company Limited, Aloha Mall Supermarket, Winmart Supermarket, Vinmart + store system, and Dairy World store system. Food, processed food, fresh food, milk, and other necessities are essential items for people. The total value of goods participating in the market stabilization program exceeds 6.1 billion VND

Not only supermarkets, but traditional markets, stores, and business points increased their supply of goods by 15-20% during the Lunar New Year, while promoting sales through e-commerce trading floors and social networks, implementing electronic payments, and delivering goods to customers.

According to Mai Tien Manh - Head of the town’s Economic Department, to ensure that there is an adequate supply of goods and to meet the shopping needs of people during Tet, the town has directed production establishments and distribution companies in the area to be proactive in stockpiling goods. Priority is given to exploiting the source of goods from enterprises, cooperatives, and production households in the area and province to prevent scarcity and sudden price increases. They will also organize the development of networks and diversification of types of selling points to stabilize the market by distributing goods to consumers conveniently and quickly, all while associating with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods."
