From March 29 to April 7 (i.e., lunar March 1st - 10th), the Cultural Cinema Center under the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Phu Tho Province organized a film screening event in celebration of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the 2025 Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land. The event featured screenings across the province.
On the evening of March 31, the opening ceremony of the film screening program was held at Hoa Phong Cinema in Viet Tri City. The event, organized by the Cultural Cinema Center, attracted nearly 400 attendees who watched two films: the documentary The Hung Kings' Era and the feature film Tay Son Hao Kiet.
As part of the 2025 Hung Kings“Commemoration Day and Cultural Tourism Week, the program will feature a variety of Vietnamese films that explore rich and meaningful themes, including The Hung Kings” Era, Hung King Temple – Spiritual Origin, The Quintessence of Heritage of the Hung Kings' Era, Hung King Temple Chronicle, On the Land of the Hung Kings, Au Co Temple – The Legendary Warmth of Mother, Red Dawn, Heroic Bloodline, Tay Son Heroes, Moments of War, and Ha Dong Silk Dress, among others.
In addition to screenings at Hoa Phong Cinema, mobile film screening teams from the Cultural Cinema Center are coordinating with local grassroots organizations to bring films to communities across the province, ensuring that people from all areas can participate in this meaningful cultural event.
The film screening program, held annually as part of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and Cultural Tourism Week, plays a significant role in promoting patriotism and gratitude toward the Hung Kings and ancestors who built and defended the nation. It reinforces the traditional Vietnamese values of “When drinking water, remember its source” and "When eating fruit, remember those who planted the tree." Furthermore, the event fosters national unity, contributes to the preservation and development of Vietnamese culture, and aligns with the broader goal of sustainable national development.
By creating a festive and engaging atmosphere, the program serves both local residents and visitors attending the celebrations, enriching their cultural experience and enhancing the spirit of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the 2025 Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land.
