In its debut appearance at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team, under the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense and based in Phu Tho Province, advanced past the qualifying round, competed in the final on the evening of July 12, and secured the runner-up position.
The fireworks display by Z121 Vietnam on July 12, as seen from a high-rise building facing Dragon Bridge and the launch site on Bach Dang Street, captured the brilliance of Da Nang on festival night.
In the opening sequence, as noted by the judging panel, the team launched fireworks at a slow and steady pace, reflecting a calm and disciplined performance style typical of a military unit.
The Z121 team used over 5,000 fireworks selected from a total of 7,000 provided by the Organizing Committee. Among them were a variety of effects, including weeping willow-style fireworks and those that bloomed on the water’s surface, adding visual depth and emotion to the performance.
Z121 sought to deliver a “manifesto of light” to the audience, highlighting Vietnam’s enduring values of peace and stability- a firm foundation in a rapidly changing world.
This event marked the conclusion of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, which featured a record-high 10 international teams. Notably, this was the first time a Vietnamese representative had made it to the final night since the festival’s inception in 2008.
