On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–2025), on July 21, General Luong Tam Quang- Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, and the Central working delegation, visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers at the Phu Tho Provincial Nursing Center for Meritorious People.
The delegation included Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives from central ministries, branches, and Military Region 2; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and branches.

In a warm and cordial atmosphere, General Luong Tam Quang personally visited the seriously wounded and sick soldiers at the center. He emphasized that the Party, State, and People always remember and hold deep gratitude for the sacrifices of heroic martyrs and wounded and sick soldiers who contributed to the nation’s independence and freedom. Their sacrifices and contributions form the solid foundation for the country’s current peace, independence, and development.

Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the Party and State maintain special attention to families of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and individuals with meritorious services to the country. He pledged to coordinate with central ministries, branches, and localities to effectively implement tasks within the two-level local government apparatus, where police and military forces are the core frontline in ensuring political security, social order, and safety. This contributes to the country’s overall development and the peaceful life of its people, worthy of the great sacrifices of previous generations.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province, Secretary Dang Xuan Phong expressed sincere thanks to Minister Luong Tam Quang and leaders of central departments, ministries, and branches for their deep concern in “repaying gratitude” and caring for people with meritorious services in the province.

This visit greatly encouraged the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho, especially wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs. Secretary Dang Xuan Phong affirmed that, guided by the ethics of “When drinking water, remember its source” and the spirit of filial piety and charity, Phu Tho province will continue to prioritize policies for people with meritorious services, improving healthcare quality and material and spiritual life for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs. At the same time, the province strives to build the homeland, the Ancestral Land, into a more beautiful, civilized, and livable place.

With deep gratitude, General Luong Tam Quang and Secretary Dang Xuan Phong, along with leaders of ministries, central agencies, and Phu Tho province, presented gifts to the Nursing Center for People with Merits and handed over 28 wheelchairs and gifts to 28 seriously wounded soldiers being cared for at the center. They expressed the hope that these wounded and sick soldiers will live happily and healthily, continue to embody the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and serve as shining examples for future generations.
