Gathering Feedback on the Draft Regulations for the Hung Vuong Award in Science, Technology, and Innovation of Phu Tho Province

On September 15, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized a scientific workshop to gather feedback from departments, boards, sectors, experts, and scientists regarding the draft Regulations for awarding the Hung Vuong Award in Science, Technology, and Innovation of Phu Tho Province.

The Hung Vuong Award in Science, Technology, and Innovation of Phu Tho Province is a provincial-level accolade designed to honor and encourage organizations and individuals possessing research works, technical solutions, and initiatives that yield practical efficiency for local socio-economic development.

Formulating new regulations at the present stage is a necessary requirement to establish an award-conferring mechanism aligned with guidelines and orientations for developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. At the same time, it addresses the limitations and shortcomings of previously issued regulations, fitting the context of the newly expanded Phu Tho province following the merger and its new development phase.

Among these, a central requirement of the new regulations is to inherit suitable existing provisions while amending and supplementing content that no longer aligns with legal regulations and practical demands.

In particular, the new regulations must guarantee principles of openness, transparency, and objectivity; uphold quality and scientific, technological, and innovation values; place high importance on application efficiency; ensure feasibility; simplify procedures; and create favorable conditions for participating organizations and individuals.

Overview of the workshop.

The Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations will coordinate with relevant agencies to fully synthesize feedback, research, incorporate, and clarify points to refine the draft. On that basis, it will submit the dossier to competent authorities for finalization before presenting it to the Provincial People’s Committee for consideration and promulgation.
