Da Bac commune police recently received a heartfelt thank you letter from Daniel Kiran Conway, a British national born in 2000. In his letter, Conway expressed deep gratitude to the local community and commune police officers for their dedicated assistance in finding his lost mobile phone and for arranging food and accommodation when he was in distress.

The incident occurred on July 13 when Conway, while traveling in Da Bac Commune, accidentally dropped his iPhone 13. The device contained critical contact information and, more importantly, his passport, which was essential for his flight back to Australia within two days. Upon receiving information from local residents, Da Bac Commune Police swiftly responded. They cordoned off the area and coordinated with local people to review camera footage from the Mo La and Doan Ket sub-areas to aid the search.
Despite the darkness hindering their efforts and Conway’s lack of identification preventing him from renting a room, commune police officers arranged a place for him to sleep and provided food for the night.
Demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, the commune police force continued their search for 16 hours. At approximately 9:00 a.m. on July 14, they successfully located the phone and returned it to Conway. Deeply touched by the enthusiastic help and the recovery of his vital belongings, Daniel Kiran Conway penned a letter of thanks to the people and the Da Bac Commune Police force.
The unwavering sense of responsibility displayed by the officers and soldiers of Da Bac Commune Police not only contributes to maintaining security and order in the area but also cultivates a friendly and hospitable image of Phu Tho’s land and people in the hearts of international tourists.
