Ha Hoa Focuses on Economic Development

Identifying 2025 as a crucial year for achieving the goals set by the Resolution of the 24th District Party Congress and the 2021-2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan, right from the beginning of the year, the Party committees and authorities of Ha Hoa District have been implementing comprehensive solutions. The primary focus is on economic development, striving to accomplish the set targets for 2025.

Ha Hoa Focuses on Economic Development

Ha Hoa Leather and Footwear Joint Stock Company specializes in processing shoe uppers and soles.

Ha Hoa concluded 2024 with significant achievements in socio-economic development. The district’s economy maintained high and stable growth, with economic restructuring shifting in a positive direction. The total social investment capital in 2024 reached VND 3,250 billion, while state budget revenue was estimated at over VND 168 billion. The average production value per hectare of agricultural, forestry, and fishery land was nearly VND 120 million/ha, and the per capita income reached VND 50 million/year.

Thanks to the involvement of the entire political system and the local people, as well as the mobilization of various resources, the National Target Program on New Rural Development has exceeded the targets set by the District Party Congress Resolution. The district now has 12 communes meeting the new rural standards, 62 standard residential areas, and a total of 330 standard criteria, averaging 17.36 criteria per commune.

The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has yielded positive results, establishing value chain linkages, with some products gaining strong brands and being consumed in large quantities. The district currently has 23 recognized OCOP products, including three 4-star products and 20 3-star products.

In the industrial and handicraft sectors, by the end of 2024, Ha Hoa had 157 businesses, 11 cooperatives, and 576 individual household enterprises, primarily operating in wood processing, garment manufacturing, and forestry product processing. Key production outputs were at a significant level, such as: Processed wood and forest products (peeled wood): approximately 435,392 cubic meters; Plywood: over 300,000 cubic meters; Wood chips, wood scraps, and pellets: nearly 203,000 tons; Wooden chopsticks: around 100,000 packages; Paper production: 19,900 tons; Processed tea: 7,307 tons; Garment production: approximately 7,000,000 products ...

Commercial and service activities remained stable, meeting the needs of the people. The district has 148 businesses, 53 cooperatives, and 2,710 individual household enterprises operating in trade, services, and construction. Market management, anti-smuggling efforts, and measures against counterfeit and low-quality goods were strengthened. Regulations on price transparency and listing were strictly enforced to ensure price stability.

At Bien Xanh Trading and Services Co., Ltd. in Vinh Chan Commune, workers are focused on nurturing young banana plants in preparation for the new planting season.

As 2025 marks the final year of fulfilling the targets set by the 24th District Party Congress Resolution and the 2021-2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan, the district aims to leverage its favorable factors, potentials, and advantages. With a continuously improving business and investment environment, many key projects have been effectively implemented and are being further developed.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People’s Committee, emphasized: "To comprehensively develop all economic sectors, the district must make significant efforts and demonstrate strong determination across the entire political system by implementing coordinated programs, plans, tasks, and solutions. The district has set a general goal of ensuring growth, recovery, and the development of production and business activities. By 2025, it aims to achieve a total social investment capital of over VND 3,000 billion, state budget revenue of at least VND 200 billion, an average production value per hectare of agricultural, forestry, and fishery land (at current prices) of at least VND 125 million/ha, and a per capita income of at least VND 53 million/year.
