Launched in April 2022, the Phu Tho Provincial Cultural and Arts House is now in the final stages of construction. The project has completed 100% of its structural work and is currently undergoing interior finishing and installation of key systems—including sound, lighting, electricity, air conditioning, fire prevention and control, and other auxiliary infrastructure.
Covering a total area of nearly 18,000 m2, with a construction footprint of approximately 5,000 m2 (including the outdoor stage), the cultural house is designed with a seating capacity of 1,000. The building consists of three above-ground floors, one basement, and a roof floor, with a maximum height of 35 meters.
The building’s outer walls are adorned with intricate patterns and symbolic motifs inspired by the Hung King era, creating a strong cultural identity for the structure.
Inside, the wall panels have been completed with elegant color schemes and refined decorative designs.
Workers are currently installing glass panels on the second-floor balconies, and progress continues steadily throughout the building.
One of the most striking features of the interior is the ceiling lights, uniquely crafted in the shape of a blooming eight-petal lotus flower, which will leave a lasting visual impression on future audiences.
The lotus motif, repeated throughout the building, serves as both a cultural symbol and a design focal point, reinforcing the structure’s deep connection to national heritage and aesthetics.
At present, construction crews are working diligently to finish the remaining tasks and manage large volumes of construction debris.
The project has also received regular inspection and direct oversight from provincial leaders, who continue to urge contractors to adhere strictly to quality and progress timelines.
As a key infrastructure project for both the province and the nation, the Phu Tho Provincial Cultural and Arts House stands among the most significant cultural projects underway in Vietnam. It is set to be officially inaugurated on August 19, 2025, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
