Investment of Over 55,000 Billion VND for Urban Development Goals by 2030
The People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province has issued Decision No. 516/QD-UBND on March 4, 2025, approving the urban development program for Phu Tho Province until 2030. The estimated funding required for the program for urban areas is over 55,000 billion VND.
The goal is to develop an urban network in accordance with the Phu Tho Province Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, which will serve as the basis for mobilizing resources and managing urban development investments. The development will be controlled based on the principle of close integration with the urban systems in the region and the country, ensuring connectivity with various infrastructures, especially transportation, and focusing on developing smart, civilized, modern urban areas that align with Phu Tho’s historical traditions and cultural identity.
It is estimated that the funding required for the program for urban areas will be about 55,804.9 billion VND, with state budget funds accounting for approximately 8,561.9 billion VND. Other mobilized capital will be around 47,243.1 billion VND. The funds will be used for planning, adjusting master plans, developing architectural management regulations for urban areas, creating urban development programs, developing urban classification schemes for each city, and constructing technical and social infrastructure for urban areas and communes expected to become urban areas.
