On the morning of April 17, at the Provincial Library, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held the opening ceremony for the Document Exhibition and the 2026 Ancestral Land Book Fair. This event is part of a series of activities heading toward the Hung Kings' Commemoration – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, while also responding to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Vi Manh Hung — Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of Phu Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television — along with leaders from various provincial departments and sectors.

The exhibition space, themed “Phu Tho: Converging Traditions, Radiating the Future,” and the Book Fair, themed “Connecting Knowledge, Developing in the New Era,” showcase thousands of valuable documents. These are scientifically and aesthetically arranged, selected from provincial libraries and the Association of Libraries of the Red River Delta and Northern Mountainous Region.

Delegates and visitors have the chance to access original and unique documents regarding history, culture, people, and socio-economic achievements, as well as the cultural heritage values, traditional festivals, and tourism potential of Phu Tho and neighboring provinces.
Simultaneously, visitors can experience a variety of activities such as: introductions of new publications, book-based storytelling exchanges, painting, STEM activities, folk games, and reading promotion events. Notably, the display area for digital library solutions and modern technology serves as a highlight, providing vivid and intuitive experiences.

Teachers and students from local schools visit the booths at the 2026 Ancestral Land Book Fair.
Through these activities, the Provincial Library contributes to promoting the image of the land and people of Phu Tho, boosting local culture and tourism development, and inspiring a passion for learning and creativity within the community.
