Over 3.2 Hectares of Land to Be Compulsorily Reclaimed for Construction of Tam Nong Industrial Cluster

On the morning of August 12, the People’s Committee of Van Xuan Commune held a press conference prior to carrying out compulsory land reclamation against 11 households using forest and perennial crop land in Villages 3, 8, 12, and 13. These households have failed to comply with land reclamation decisions and refused compensation payouts for site clearance work on the Investment and Infrastructure Business Project of Tam Nong Industrial Cluster.

The Tam Nong Industrial Cluster covers a total scale of 74.28 hectares, with Duc Anh Construction Joint Stock Company serving as the primary investor. To date, compensation and site clearance have been completed for nearly 57 hectares.

On July 30, 2026, the Van Xuan Commune People’s Committee issued land reclamation enforcement decisions for 20 households due to non-compliance with original reclamation orders, covering a total enforcement area of 5.5 hectares.

Following multiple rounds of public advocacy and mobilization, as of August 12, 9 out of 20 households have accepted their compensation payouts. To ensure the continued execution of this socio-economic development project, the Van Xuan Commune People’s Committee has drawn up detailed action plans to guarantee public security and order, and will execute compulsory land reclamation against the remaining 11 non-compliant households, with completion targeted before August 20, 2026. The total area subject to compulsory land reclamation exceeds 3.2 hectares.

This marks the second time the Van Xuan Commune People’s Committee has organized compulsory land reclamation measures to execute the Investment and Infrastructure Business Project of Tam Nong Industrial Cluster. The first enforcement took place on December 16, 2025, reclaiming 1.3 hectares from 5 households.
