Since 2021, the total investment capital for development in the province has reached nearly VND 224 trillion, a 74.3% increase compared to the 2016–2020 period, surpassing the target set by 39.6%. This achievement aligns with Resolution No. 61-NQ/TU, issued on October 13, 2021, by the 19th Provincial Party Committee, which aims to significantly enhance the investment and business environment for the 2021–2025 period.
Non-state investment capital rose by 75%, foreign direct investment (FDI) more than doubled, and state budget capital grew by 50%. The investment capital structure shifted, with a higher share allocated to the non-state sector and FDI, rising from 78.4% in 2016–2020 to 81.5%.
The construction of a road connecting Hung Vuong Street to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Phu Dong Street, and Au Co Dyke has helped expand the development space of Viet Tri City.
Notably, both the scale and number of investment projects have increased compared to the previous period. The 2021–2024 period secured investment for 386 private investment projects (DDI) with a registered capital of VND 66.5 trillion and 104 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a registered capital of USD 1.7 billion.
Alongside attracting investment in projects and enterprises, the province has made significant progress in infrastructure development, yielding remarkable results.
Numerous large-scale and strategically important transportation infrastructure projects have been implemented, enhancing connectivity between industrial parks, resource extraction areas, service hubs, and tourism zones with highways and national roads leading to neighboring provinces. Between 2021 and 2024, nearly VND 20 trillion in public investment capital was mobilized to renovate existing infrastructure, develop new projects, and upgrade transportation networks. Investment in industrial park and cluster infrastructure was expanded, leading to the completion of technical infrastructure for 231 hectares of industrial parks and 141 hectares of industrial clusters, with an occupancy rate exceeding 65%.
Urban infrastructure has been developed in a coordinated manner, with a focus on modernization and sustainability. Viet Tri City now meets the criteria for a Type I urban area, while Phu Tho Town qualifies as a Type III urban area. The urbanization rate has reached 22%. Significant progress has been made in logistics services and human resource development. Service infrastructure and tourism have also expanded, while the distribution network has grown in both urban and rural areas. Additionally, electricity, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure now meet the demands of digital transformation, the digital economy, digital society, and e-government.
