Phu Tho athletes win “double gold” at the 11th World Shuttlecock Championships
The Vietnamese Shuttlecock team has just concluded its journey at the 11th World Shuttlecock Championships in 2024 held in Tianjin, China, with a record of 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal, ranking first overall. The Phu Tho Sports continued to have good news when 2 athletes under Phu Tho’s management, Tran Anh Quan and Bui Manh Cuong, won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal in the events.

At this year’s tournament, Phu Tho Shuttlecock had coach Ngo Thi Huyen Thanh participating in the National Team Coaching Board and 2 athletes, Tran Anh Quan and Bui Manh Cuong, competing in the events: men’s doubles, men’s 3s, and men’s 4s. At the end of the tournament, both Anh Quan and Manh Cuong won 2 gold medals in the men’s doubles and men’s 3s together and 1 silver medal in the men’s team 4 category.
World Champion Tran Anh Quan (jumping shuttlecock) continues to shine in the Vietnam Shuttlecock Team.
This year’s World Shuttlecock Championships took place from October 26 to 30 in China with the participation of more than 150 athletes from 12 countries and territories around the world. With 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal, the Vietnam Shuttlecock Team surpassed the host China to win the overall first place.
The Vietnam Shuttlecock Team won the overall first place at this year’s tournament.
The impressive achievements of the athlete couple from Phu Tho at this year’s tournament not only brought glory to their homeland but also contributed to affirming the No. 1 position of Vietnam Shuttlecock in the international arena.
