The Chu Hung Temple Historical Relic Site is a sacred landmark marking a deep imprint of the revolutionary operational period of the late General Secretary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Kaysone Phomvihane. Here, on April 16, 1949, the first armed unit of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic was established, featuring the presence of late Lao General Secretary Kaysone Phomvihane and General of the Vietnam People’s Army Le Trong Tan.

Currently, the Chu Hung Temple Relic Site preserves precious historical documentary sources, contributing to educating patriotic traditions, the special relationship, and the faithful, steadfast affection between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.
