On the morning of August 13, in Xuan Lang Commune, the Phu Tho Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council held a conference to evaluate and classify OCOP products in the first round of 2026.

An overview of the conference.
At the conference, the Council reviewed, evaluated and appraised 17 products submitted for OCOP evaluation and classification. Of these, one product was submitted for re-evaluation and classified as a five-star product; six products were classified as four-star products, including five products undergoing re-evaluation and one product submitted for an upgrade; and 10 products were classified as three-star products, including nine new products and one product undergoing re-evaluation.
Based on the dossiers, scoring results and product appraisal, the Council members basically agreed with the evaluation and classification results for all 17 products. The results provide a basis for further completing the dossiers and carrying out the procedures for official OCOP product recognition in accordance with regulations.
The evaluation and classification of OCOP products helps select products with quality and clear origins that meet prescribed criteria, while creating motivation for producers to further improve product quality, refine packaging and expand markets. This contributes to increasing the value and competitiveness of local specialty products.
Previously, the appraisal council conducted field visits to inspect and assess the production and processing facilities of products submitted for OCOP certification in the first round of 2026.
