Provincial leaders visit and congratulate Military Region 2 Command and Provincial Military Command

On the occasion of the 81st Anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2025) and the 36th Anniversary of the All-People National Defense Day, a delegation of Phu Tho provincial leaders led by Mr. Bui Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and congratulated the Party Committee and High Command of Military Region 2, as well as the Provincial Military Command.

Presenting flowers to Military Region 2, Mr. Bui Van Quang expressed high appreciation for the comprehensive achievements and efforts made by the Military Region in 2025. Updating on the local situation, he noted with pleasure that after the merger and transition to a two-level local government model, Phu Tho province has maintained its growth momentum, achieving comprehensive results across all sectors while firmly ensuring national defense and security.

Expressing deep gratitude to the Party Committee and High Command of Military Region 2 for their constant support—especially in stabilizing the organizational apparatus after the merger; he hoped for continued close coordination to successfully implement socio-economic development tasks. This cooperation is vital as the province moves toward major political events, such as the 14th National Party Congress and the Elections of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.

The Standing Deputy Secretary wished all officers and soldiers of the Military Region continued solidarity and determination to excellently complete their missions in 2026 and beyond, building an increasingly strong and developed Military Region 2.

On behalf of Military Region 2, Major General Tran Van Bac, Commander of the Military Region, sincerely thanked Phu Tho province for its support. He expressed his wish for continued close coordination in military and defense tasks, particularly in the pilot project to deploy regular military forces to communal-level Military Commands in key areas. He expressed confidence that the solidarity between the military and the people of Phu Tho would lead to the successful realization of the goals set by the 1st Provincial Party Congress Resolution.

Then, the delegation visited and congratulated the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command. In 2025, the provincial armed forces resolutely completed local military and defense missions, contributing to maintaining security and order, creating a safe environment for businesses and citizens to develop production, and helping the province’s socio-economic targets reach the finish line ahead of schedule.

Commending these achievements, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Military Command to continue researching and advising on perfecting the model of military organization at the commune level after the administrative unit rearrangement according to the Central Resolution. He emphasized the need to firmly grasp the local situation and ensure absolute safety for major political events in 2026, focusing on the Party Congresses at all levels and the elections for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term. He also stressed the importance of implementing the Law on Civil Defense, proactively developing search and rescue plans, and responding to the complex developments of natural disasters in the province. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed confidence that, with a spirit of unity and responsibility, the provincial armed forces will continue to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks in the new period; making a significant contribution to maintaining political stability and promoting local socio-economic development.
