Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong inspects the route alignment and identifies site clearance bottlenecks on the technical diagrams of the National Highway 2 Renovation and Expansion Project.

During the visit, the Provincial Party Secretary examined the route alignment and identified specific locations facing site clearance bottlenecks on the project’s technical diagrams.

The project spans approximately 11.06km with a total investment exceeding 1,258 billion VND and a scale of 4 to 6 lanes. As a key transport infrastructure project, it plays a vital role in strengthening regional connectivity and driving the socio-economic development of Phu Tho Province.

According to reports from the investor and relevant units, over 61% of the required land has been cleared to date. Localities such as Hoi Thinh, Te Lo, and Vinh Thanh have fundamentally resolved their obstacles and expect to complete site clearance by June 2026. However, in Vinh An and Vinh Hung communes, several issues remain regarding residential land, agricultural land with assets on it, and the construction of resettlement areas.

At the inspection site, leaders of relevant departments reported on the current status and proposed measures to tackle difficulties in clearance and construction.

In his directive speech, Secretary Pham Dai Duong emphasized that the pressure to fulfill tasks from the Central to local levels requires all branches and sectors to take decisive action. He noted that the delay in site clearance for this project indicates a lack of tight coordination among the assigned units.

The Provincial Party Secretary demanded that localities strictly adhere to the site clearance timeline mandated by the Provincial People’s Committee. Regarding technical infrastructure, the Project Management Board and contractors were urged to proactively coordinate and implement tasks simultaneously, rather than waiting for the entire site to be cleared before starting construction.

He further directed that the communes must work closely with relevant units to immediately relocate households eligible for resettlement, calculating temporary housing options so that residents can move to new locations even if the official resettlement areas are not yet completed.

Mr. Pham Dai Duong required the five communes within the project area to finalize land handovers as directed by the Provincial People’s Committee, ensuring that all site clearance work is completed before June 30, 2026. Relevant units must strengthen coordination and focus on removing all obstacles to ensure the project stays on schedule.
