Within the framework of the working visit to Phu Tho province, on the morning of December 17, a delegation from Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, led by Mr. Fukuda Tomikazu – Governor of Tochigi Prefecture, paid a courtesy call to Comrade Truong Quoc Huy – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Comrade Secretary Truong Quoc Huy warmly received the delegation. Joining the reception were comrades: Bui Duc Hinh – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Luong Duc Minh – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Commission for Propaganda and Mobilization; along with leaders of various provincial departments and sectors.

During the meeting, Secretary Truong Quoc Huy provided a general overview of the socio-economic development of Phu Tho province following the merger. With its favorable geographical location and numerous inherent potentials and advantages, Phu Tho is emerging as an attractive destination for many international investors.
Secretary Truong Quoc Huy emphasized: Phu Tho currently hosts many Japanese enterprises that have invested successfully and contributed positively to the overall local development. Affirming that Japanese investors always demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, Secretary Truong Quoc Huy expressed his desire for Japanese businesses in general, and those from Tochigi Prefecture in particular, to continue showing interest and investing in Phu Tho.
He expressed that the Governor would act as an important bridge to introduce and further tighten this cooperative relationship, while continuing to strengthen cultural, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges to bolster understanding and trust between the people of both localities. Phu Tho province commits to always accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for investors under the motto: "The success of the enterprise is the success of the province."
The Governor of Tochigi Prefecture thanked the leaders of Phu Tho province for the solemn reception and expressed his deep impression of the province’s dynamic development and open investment environment. Looking toward the future, the Governor hoped to welcome more young people from Phu Tho to study and work in Tochigi, who can later return to contribute to their homeland.
The two localities will increase information exchange and promote specific cooperative activities, contributing to deepening the Vietnam – Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Regarding the province’s investment promotion plan in Japan for 2026, Mr. Fukuda Tomikazu cordially invited the delegation to visit Tochigi Prefecture and expressed his desire to participate in Phu Tho’s investment promotion activities in Japan.

The visit of the Tochigi Prefecture delegation to Phu Tho marks an important milestone for the two provinces to tighten their cooperative relationship for mutual development.
