Putting effort to maintain growth momentum

The year 2024 holds particular significance in the successful implementation of the 5-year socioeconomic development plan (2021-2025). To actively contribute to the province’s overall economic growth, the Industry and Trade sector is working to maintain growth momentum by meeting and exceeding set goals and tasks.

With the participation of all levels and sectors, and the efforts of the business community, the industrial growth rate has reached 11.54%, the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 11.4% compared to 2022, the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 11.4% compared to 2022. Trade promotion and e-commerce activities have many innovations. Organized 10 display areas to introduce industrial and handicraft products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products of the province at domestic exhibitions. Organize product introduction and connect with the consumption of some typical products of the province at trade promotion events organized in provinces and cities. Maintain and develop selling points and introduce OCOP products, typical rural industrial products of Phu Tho province. Through the activities of the Introduction Point, we have helped businesses promote and introduce their images and products, and promote the consumption of goods and products. Through the E-commerce Exchange, a lot of customer information has been transferred to businesses to connect and consume products.

The year 2024 is very critical in terms of building momentum toward achieving the goals of the 19th Provincial Party Congress Resolution and the five-year socioeconomic development plan 2021-2025. Some targets are set: The industrial growth rate is to achieve 10.3%, while the added value of industry aims to reach 16,800 billion VND (a 10.3% increase over 2023). The growth rate of services aims to reach 6.5%, while the added value of services aims to reach 20,160 billion VND.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, in order to contribute to the successful fulfillment of the set goals and tasks, the Industry and Trade sector takes the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People’s Committee orders seriously and comprehensively to meet targeted industrial and commercial growth targets by 2024. The emphasis is on monitoring and encouraging the implementation of industrial production targets and the progress of major industrial initiatives. Proactively follow up with enterprises, advise them, and make specific proposals to the Provincial People’s Committee to remove barriers to industrial project implementation, production, and business, with a focus on advising and speeding significant project progress.
