Song Lo Commune is established through the merger of Dong Thinh, Tu Yen, Duc Bac and Yen Thach communes. This new commune is fast becoming one of the areas with the most favorable conditions and potential to break through and affirm its role as a center for industrial, urban and modern service development in Phu Tho Province.
Song Lo Industrial Park II is accelerating infrastructure completion to welcome investors in 2026.
From its establishment, Song Lo identified a clear economic development strategy, designating industry as the key driving force for a strong transformation. Within the commune, three major projects - Song Lo Industrial Park I, Song Lo Industrial Park II and Dong Thinh Industrial Cluster have been positioned to form a complementary network, opening prospects to become a concentrated industrial–service hub of the province.
Among them, Song Lo Industrial Park I (177.36 hectares) is accelerating site clearance with compensation already paid for 32.4 hectares (59.62%), amounting to more than VND 112.7 billion.
Song Lo Industrial Park II has made remarkable progress. Of the total 165.65 hectares to be acquired, 162.12 hectares (98%) have already been cleared. The provincial People’s Committee has handed over 152 hectares to the investor. This lays a crucial foundation for the park to be ready to receive its first secondary investors in early 2026. To date, more than 15 enterprises in sectors such as mechanics, electrical–electronics, garment manufacturing, and agricultural processing have conducted surveys, with 5 companies submitting dossiers for investment research.
Dong Thinh Industrial Cluster (3.6 hectares) has basically completed site clearance (97.79%). Notably, Vit Garment Export Company has already come into operation, employing nearly 300 local workers.
The parallel progress of the two industrial parks and one industrial cluster not only establishes an interconnected industrial development framework but also reflects the strong political determination of the locality in gradually transforming Song Lo into a modern, sustainable new industrial hub of Phu Tho Province.
Vit Garment Export Company creates jobs for nearly 300 local workers, with an average monthly income of nearly VND 8 million per person.
Alongside industrial development, Song Lo is focusing on modern urban and service planning, regarding this as a vital foundation for improving people’s quality of life. Leveraging its transport infrastructure and the Vinh Phu bridge, which directly connects to Vinh Yen city, the commune is prioritizing the construction of new residential areas, riverside urban zones, commercial centers, logistics services, finance and banking facilities, healthcare, and education. Essential services such as telecommunications, postal services, and e-commerce are also being expanded to meet the growing needs of daily life and business.
Another highlight is the commune’s pioneering implementation of comprehensive digital transformation, aiming by 2030 to have 100% of eligible administrative records processed entirely online, and 100% of officials and civil servants trained in digital skills. This strategic step seeks to enhance governance efficiency and better serve both citizens and businesses.
