Following its administrative merger, Tam Son Commune is affirming its ambition for a breakthrough by choosing tourism as the driving force for development and digital transformation as the key to creating a competitive advantage. By leveraging natural landscapes, historical relics, and cultural identity, Tam Son is gradually shaping attractive destinations.
In recent years, Tam Son has made the most of its advantages in natural scenery, historical sites, and cultural heritage to form destinations of great destination. Binh Son Tower—a national special relic, Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery, Bo Lac Lake, Bay Waterfall, and De Tham Cave have become popular destinations for sightseeing, research, and experiential tourism.

Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery reflected in Bo Lac Lake - a promising eco-tourism site.
Tourism has brought significant revenue to the locality. In the first seven months of 2025, Tam Son welcomed more than 10,000 visitors. Local accommodations, restaurants, food services, transportation, and specialty shops have expanded, creating hundreds of jobs for local residents. Many households have also developed homestays and farmstays combined with agricultural experiences. This demonstrates that with proper orientation and coordinated investment, tourism can become a sustainable source of livelihood, contributing to poverty reduction.

Mount Sang boasts majestic beauty.
Tourism also plays an important role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Traditional festivals, craft villages, and OCOP products of Tam Son have been widely introduced, creating a unique identity for the destination. At the same time, rural infrastructure has been improved through resources generated from tourism, with transportation, electricity, water, and communications systems increasingly upgraded.
However, Tam Son’s tourism potential has yet to be fully exploited. This calls for innovative, breakthrough approaches to transform potential into genuine competitive advantages.
For this reason, linking tourism development with digital transformation has been identified as a strategic direction. Digital transformation opens up powerful opportunities for promotion, helping Tam Son’s image reach domestic and international visitors quickly and effectively.
In its development orientation, Tam Son has set the goal of becoming an advanced, modern new rural commune by 2030, with large-scale tourism products. These include building an eco-community tourism area around Bo Lac Lake; developing a spiritual–cultural tourism route connecting Binh Son Tower, Bay Waterfall, and Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery; creating a clean agriculture zone with experiential services; and establishing an international-standard golf course to attract high-end tourists.
