Muong Vang Commune was established through the merger of Quy Hoa, Tan Lap, and Tuan Dao communes. Honored to bear the name “Muong Vang” – the name commonly used for the entire Lac Son district area of former Hoa Binh province, and also one of the four major Muong regions of the province. This land is a convergence of majestic natural beauty and a rich cultural tradition. Especially these days, a visit to Quy Hoa – the “roof” of the region, will leave anyone enchanted by the lush green terraced fields.
The verdant terraced fields lie amidst magnificent mountains. In the distance stands Mount Mu, home to fascinating caves and a precious hot spring.
Layers of dreamy terraced fields shimmer in the morning sunlight over the peaceful Muong Vang countryside, where most residents are of the Muong ethnic group.
A small, tranquil house nestles among the green carpet of fields and mountains.
A village path in Muong flickers in and out of view amid the cool, lush landscape.
Kha Lake, clear and still, lies beside the vibrant green rice paddies.
The terraced fields of Doi Hamlet weave among hills, trees, and villages, carrying with them the story of wet rice cultivation and the traditions of the local Muong people.
The refreshing Mu Stream brings water to nurture the endless green terraces.
At Doi Thung, standing over 1,000 meters above sea level, alongside the terraced fields are striking gray rocks with curious shapes. Blessed with natural beauty and a cool climate, this area has also been approved for the development of eco-tourism, resorts, and high-end recreational facilities.
Amid the refreshing greenery, splashes of wildflowers and fruits create a vibrant and enchanting highland landscape.
