The 5th Provincial Education Promotion Association Congress, period 2023-2028

The Provincial Study Promotion Association had its 5th congress, period 2023-2028, on December 28. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - Former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Learning; Ho Dai Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Building a Cultural Society.

Mr. Ho Dai Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, brought a bouquet of fresh flowers to congratulate the congress.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, and members of the Association’s Central Committee granted scholarships to students in Phu Tho province who overcome obstacles and achieve high marks.

The Provincial Association for Promoting Education has made positive developments in the 2018-2023 term, operating more effectively, making an important contribution to improving the quality of education and training, the quality of human resources, and serving the cause of innovation and socioeconomic development. The emulation movement has grown in both breadth and depth to promote study, foster talent, and establish a cooperative society. The organizational framework of the association has been developed and consolidated, resulting in the association with the highest membership rate (56% of the population is 18 years of age or older). So far, 100% of the province’s communes, wards, and towns have developed community learning centers with more flexible and effective content and operational quality.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung presented the Provincial Study Promotion Association with the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit, an Emulation Flag, and a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People’s Committee.

Along with promoting learning promotion movements, the Learning Promotion Association has provided material and spiritual support to pupils, students, and teachers on a regular basis... developing learning promotion funds to share and alleviate difficulties, encouraging students to overcome difficulties and study well. The province’s study promotion money presently stands at 208.8 billion VND; the initiative “Saving raising plastic pigs to encourage learning” saved 189,536 million VND. “Study promotion shelter”, “Tet for poor students”, “Tet of love - Spring to encourage learning”, “Awarding 1 + n scholarship”, “Nguyet Tri scholarship”; Supporting funding for fostering excellent students, “Bookshelf to promote learning”, “Building a green library”, “Bridge for people”...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, presented the Phu Tho Newspaper collective with a Certificate of Merit from the Central Association.

In the last five years, associations at all levels have given 430,609 gifts and scholarships; donated 23 “Study Encouragement Homes”; 30 “Cows to Encourage Learning”; built nine schools and two intellectual bridges for disadvantaged areas; donated 963 computers, four study promotion bookshelves, 255 bicycles, 70,020 notebooks, and many clothes, shirts, and blankets;...

The Foundation for Study and Talent Promotion of the Fatherland has granted and sponsored 1+n scholarships totaling 12,935 million VND after hosting the “Dream Wings” Program five times to celebrate the study and talent promotion of the Land. Many sharing and encouraging activities have taken place with underprivileged students in the provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Son La, Lai Chau, and Ha Giang.

Mr. Ho Dai Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, presented Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People’s Committee to persons who had achieved excellent achievements.

Speaking during the congress, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education Nguyen Thi Doan and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung honored and commended the officers and members of the association for their efforts, efforts, and successes. In recent years, the province has been encouraged to promote education. Comrades request that during the 2023-2028 period, all levels, branches, and socio-political organizations, the center of which is the study promotion association at all levels, carry out the following tasks: Continue to implement the outcomes of the Party’s guidelines and policies, as well as the State’s policies on encouraging learning, developing talent, and establishing a learning society, in a serious and effective manner.

Delegates elected 33 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Study Promotion Association for the 2023-2028 term; Comrade Nguyen Van Manh - TUV, Director of Education and Training, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Social and Cultural Development, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Study Promotion Association, term V, term 2023-2028.
