The tennis player from the Ancestral Land achieved the 23rd ranking in the world
baophutho.vnAccording to the latest ranking update of Vietnam Badminton Federation on July 18, the tennis player from the Cancestral Land - Nguyen Thuy Linh continued to increase three places from the 26th to the 23rd in the world after the end of the US Open Badminton Championship 2023. This is the highest ranking that a Vietnamese female tennis player has achieved in her career.
At the recent US Open Badminton Championship, the number 1 Vietnamese female tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh reached the quarterfinals and only lost to the Thai number 1 seed Ratchanok Intanon with a final score of 1-2. Although she could not enter the semifinals, this achievement helped the girl from the Ancestral Land accumulate more important points to achieve the 23rd ranking in the world.
Thus, after the Canadian Open Badminton Championship 2023 and the US Open Badminton Championship 2023 taking place from the beginning of July until now, the number 1 female tennis player of Vietnam has increased 6 places on the world badminton ranking. If she continues to maintain her manners and goes deeper at international tournaments in the near future, Thuy Linh can completely reach the 20th ranking for the goal of participating in the Paris Olympics 2024.
