On the morning of February 9, Mr. Quach Tat Liem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, conducted an on-site inspection of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Project and presented Tet gifts to workers on the construction site.

Vice Chairman Quach Tat Liem listens to the contractor’s report on the project’s progress.
To date, land clearance for the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway has reached 32.8 out of 34 km, equivalent to 97%. Specifically, some sections in Da Bac and Cao Son communes are still pending clearance for a few remaining households, while Tien Phong commune has achieved 100% completion. The contractor is currently coordinating with relevant units to relocate technical infrastructure, including power lines and water supply systems.
During the inspection, the Hoa Binh Regional Project Management Board proposed that the Provincial People’s Committee petition the Prime Minister for the remaining 1,005.99 billion VND of central budget capital in the 2027 plan. Additionally, they requested permission to expand the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau section (km19 - km53) from two lanes to four lanes as per the complete master plan, with an estimated additional investment of approximately 8,171 billion VND.

Speaking at the site, Vice Chairman Quach Tat Liem commended the active and urgent working spirit of the contractors and the close supervision of local authorities. He acknowledged that the project faces significant challenges due to complex terrain, geology, and prolonged rainfall. However, thanks to high responsibility and decisive leadership, the progress basically meets the requirements.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Vice Chairman visited and presented gifts to encourage the staff and workers. He emphasized: "The province aims to complete the project before December 31, 2027, one year ahead of schedule. To achieve this, contractors must continue to overcome difficulties, take advantage of dry weather, and increase shifts to accelerate progress."
