On the morning of March 18, Mr. Vu Viet Van – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – conducted a field inspection to review the implementation progress of several major transport projects in the Vinh Phuc area. Accompanying him were leaders from relevant provincial departments and agencies.
Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van examines the map of areas pending site clearance for the project involving the road parallel to the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway (Southern route), specifically the section from Hop Thinh - Dao Tu to the Vinh Yen Passenger Bus Station intersection.
Regarding the Hanoi - Lao Cai Railway Parallel Road Project (Southern route), construction units have essentially completed 84% of the contract value for Phase 1 and 46% for Phase 2. However, the project still faces obstacles involving over 700 square meters of land across both phases, which has yet to be handed over for landscaping purposes. To ensure the project’s completion by November 30, 2026, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the People’s Committees of Vinh Yen and Vinh Phuc wards to resolve these bottlenecks and finalize compensation and site clearance by June 2026.
For the Hanoi - Lao Cai Railway Parallel Road Project (Northern route), which spans over 5.1km from Khai Quang Industrial Park to Road 36 (connecting Binh Xuyen to Ba Thien Industrial Parks) with a total investment of over 678.8 billion VND, contractors have achieved approximately 24% of the contract value on available land. The primary challenge remains site clearance in specific locations.
Currently, Binh Nguyen Commune has not completed compensation for two resettlement areas affecting 73 households, nor has it finalized the inventory and valuation of assets for four businesses within the Huong Canh Industrial Cluster.
Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van listens to reports on site clearance for the Northern route of the Hanoi – Lao Cai railway parallel road.
Following the field inspection, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van urged Binh Nguyen Commune to accelerate the declaration, inventory, and verification of land origins to finalize compensation plans. For areas where compensation has already been paid for the Binh Binh Industrial Park Expansion Project, local authorities must report to the Provincial People’s Committee on reimbursement mechanisms and expedite land handover to contractors.
Finally, at the East - West Urban Axis Road Project (Tan Phong to Trung Nguyen section), Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van commended the efforts of Xuan Lang and Yen Lac in site clearance. He requested continued public advocacy to complete the remaining clearance by June 2026. The Vinh Phuc Project Management Board was instructed to mobilize maximum manpower and equipment to ensure all projects are completed on schedule.
