In 2023, even though there has been a sharp decrease in the market for products and sales prices due to increasing costs of raw materials, Viet Tri Paper Joint Stock Company has managed to maintain its production and business results. This is because the company has focused on improving product quality and strictly controlling financial work.
Production output increased by 3.9% to more than 150,000 tons, while consumption output went up by more than 10,000 tons compared to 2022 and 6.5% compared to the plan. However, despite increased production and consumption, revenue only reached 1,643 billion VND due to a significant decrease in product prices, down nearly 400 billion VND from 2022 and equal to 99.9% of the plan.
The company not only concentrates on maintaining production and business operations but also invests in equipment and technology renovation to enhance capacity and stabilize product quality. It also prioritizes improving the efficiency of environmental treatment systems such as wastewater and emissions. Additionally, the company endeavors to take care of workers' welfare and aims to maintain social security. The average annual income of the company’s employees was 12.3 million VND/person/month, a 2.5% increase over the plan; budget and social insurance payments were fully implemented.
In 2024, in anticipation of difficulties arising from the impact of global economic decline, the paper industry in Vietnam, including Viet Tri Paper, is facing increasingly fierce competition. To overcome these challenges, Viet Tri Paper is focusing on improving enterprise management and administration, organizing production, enhancing product quality, and promoting market work. The company aims to achieve a production output of over 155,000 tons and revenue of over 1,650 billion VND. This will ensure job security and a minimum salary of 12 million VND per person per month or more for its employees while preserving equity and paying dividends to shareholders of 20% or more.
