Accelerating Progress and Ensuring Quality of Social Housing Projects

On the morning of January 10, Mr. Vu Viet Van – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, inspected the implementation progress of several social housing projects in the province.

At the Kira Home Social Housing Project, part of the Viet Duc Legend City Urban Area (Xuan Lang Commune) invested by the Viet Duc Steel Pipe Joint Stock Company, construction is being accelerated. The project is expected to be completed and put into use by the fourth quarter of 2026, which is 3 to 5 months ahead of schedule.

The Phuc Thang Social Housing Project (Phuc Yen Ward) has completed its underground works and the floor slabs for the 4th floor; it is currently constructing the main body of the 11-story apartment building. Additionally, foundation pile pressing for 94 adjacent shophouses is underway. This project is slated for completion in mid-June 2027, nearly a year ahead of the original plan.

Regarding the Hung Vuong – Tien Chau Urban Area Project (Phuc Yen Ward) and the Trade Union Institution Housing Project at the Ba Thien Industrial Park (Binh Tuyen Commune), investors have directed contractors to increase shifts to ensure both construction progress and quality, aiming to meet workers' housing needs as soon as possible.

Commending the efforts of the investors and contractors, Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van emphasized: Over the past years, the province has consistently prioritized the development of social housing and workers' housing, contributing to the realization of social welfare goals and providing stable housing for low-income earners.

He assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate closely with relevant sectors and localities to continue resolving difficulties, particularly in compensation and site clearance. Investors were urged to concentrate resources on accelerating progress to complete the projects early while strictly ensuring construction quality.
