On November 28, the Provincial People’s Committee held a working conference with the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and the National Power Transmission Corporation on the situation of electricity supply and use and the planning and implementation of investment projects to develop the power grid in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Quang highly appreciated the cooperation, coordination, and support of EVNNPC and the National Power Transmission Corporation in investing in developing the power grid infrastructure in Phu Tho. With the current status of the power grid, the growth rate of load, especially in industrial parks, clusters, and large customers, in the coming time, investing and renovating the power grid to ensure power supply in Phu Tho is an important task.

Phu Tho province hopes that the electricity sector will continue to invest, upgrade, and renovate the power grid system in the province and commits to accompany the electricity sector in implementing related tasks to strengthen cooperation for mutual development. The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also gave specific instructions to departments, branches, and localities in removing difficulties and obstacles to implement power projects to ensure progress.

Leaders of EVNNPC and the National Power Transmission Corporation thanked the attention of the province and departments, branches, units, and localities in the past time for creating favorable conditions for the electricity sector to complete the construction of power projects in the area and affirmed that EVNNPC will continue to prioritize capital sources and speed up the implementation of ongoing projects in Phu Tho.
Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade presented a report on the situation of electricity supply and implementation of power projects in the province.
EVNNPC requested the province to continue to pay attention and support the implementation of site clearance to speed up the progress of projects, ensure power supply for local socio-economic development, support EVNNPC in selecting the location of the transformer station and the direction of the transmission line, and complete the procedures to deploy the investment in the 220kV Phu Tho 3 transformer station on schedule. EVNNPC especially requests the province to continue to pay attention to directing the work of using electricity economically and efficiently in the area.
