Following the administrative boundary merger, Binh Tuyen Commune is progressively capitalizing on its strategic location, infrastructure, and local industrial park network to drive socio-economic growth. Thanks to proactive governance and the consensus of residents and businesses, the locality is seeing positive shifts, laying a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable development in the coming years.

Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park in Binh Tuyen Commune, spanning over 300 hectares, provides a strategic lever for local economic development.
Binh Tuyen Commune spans a natural area of 58.5 km2 with a population of over 26,500. The area possesses favorable conditions for multi-sector economic development, particularly with major industrial parks (IPs) such as Ba Thien, Ba Thien II, Binh Xuyen II, and Son Loi. Notably, the Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park, covering over 300 hectares within the commune, serves as a vital lever for local economic expansion.
As a result, Binh Tuyen’s economic structure has shifted positively: Industry and Construction now account for 63.2%, Trade and Services 25.2%, and Agriculture has decreased to 11.6%. The growth of enterprises in electronics, mechanical engineering, and garments has maintained a steady growth rate while providing stable jobs for thousands of local workers.
In 2025, the total production value reached over 2,200 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 14.8%, exceeding the set targets. Per capita income has surpassed 60 million VND per year, significantly improving the quality of life for residents. The trade and service sectors are also thriving, with expanding networks of markets, restaurants, and logistics services reaching a value of approximately 590 billion VND in 2025.
Parallel to industrial growth, agricultural production remains stable with a focus on high-value models. Total cultivated area reached over 1,700 hectares, with a grain output of about 8,400 tons. The commune has successfully implemented high-tech agricultural models, including VietGAP-certified safe vegetables and VietGAHP-standard poultry farming, contributing to a specialized commodity production zone.
Social welfare remains a priority. The poverty rate has dropped to 0.34%, while health insurance coverage has reached 97%. The school system is well-invested, with many meeting national standards, and the grassroots healthcare network operates effectively. Furthermore, 100% of villages in the commune have achieved “New Rural Area” standards, transforming the rural landscape.
Despite these achievements, challenges remain in land clearance for projects, land management, construction order, and connecting transport infrastructure.
Mr. Duong Van Thang, Vice Chairman of the Binh Tuyen Commune People’s Committee, noted: "Under the two-level local government model, the workload at the commune level has increased significantly while specialized staff remain limited in certain areas. Rapid urbanization also demands higher standards for planning, environmental management, and urban order."
In response to these challenges, the local government is focusing on a range of solutions to resolve existing "bottlenecks." Key priorities include accelerating site clearance for major projects, finalizing urban development planning, and tightening land management and construction order.
At the same time, the locality continues to promote administrative reform, the application of information technology, and digital transformation in governance. These efforts aim to create a favorable environment for attracting investment and supporting businesses in their production and commercial activities.
Looking ahead, Binh Tuyen Commune is committed to effectively leveraging its local industrial parks, robustly developing trade and services, and restructuring agriculture toward a commodity-based, safe, and sustainable model.
With a solid foundation already in place and the strong determination of both the political system and the people, Binh Tuyen is progressively asserting its role as a dynamic development hub, contributing significantly to the socio-economic growth of the province’s southern region.
