Dress Rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Phu Tho Provincial Sports Games, 2026

On September 22, the Organizing Committee of the 1st Phu Tho Provincial Sports Games, 2026 held a full dress rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony of the Games. Comrade Phung Thi Kim Nga — Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee for the 1st Provincial Sports Games, 2026 — attended and directed the rehearsal.

Also in attendance were Comrade Duong Hoang Huong — Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Provincial Sports Games; alongside leaders of various relevant departments, sectors, and units.

According to the script, the Opening Ceremony consists of 3 parts: a parade showing strength, official opening rituals, and a artistic mass performance.

The parade features the participation of 22 athletic delegations, the referee delegation, and ceremonial units.

The artistic mass performance, themed “Phu Tho Sports — The Power of Ancestral Roots, the Aspiration to Reach Far,” involves over 600 participants, including athletes, military officers, performers from the Lac Hong Theater, circus artists from the Vietnam Circus Federation, and students from local middle and high schools.

The program aims to create a widespread impact among the public, promote the comprehensive development of the sports movement across the province, and introduce and showcase the cultural heritage and beauty of the Ancestral Land.

Speaking at the rehearsal, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga praised the efforts of the departments, sectors, performers, and units involved in the program. She requested that the organizing units incorporate feedback from the dress rehearsal and continue practicing to perfect the entire program according to plan and script.

She instructed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue coordinating with relevant units to review all operational plans for the Opening Ceremony, ensuring fire safety, security and order, environmental sanitation, traffic control, and power supply systems.

According to the schedule, the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Phu Tho Provincial Sports Games, 2026 will take place at 8:00 PM on September 26, 2026, at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Arena, and will be broadcast live across Phu Tho Newspaper and Radio-Television platforms.
